Monsters of Shore
Tsunamis are usually caused by under sea earthquakes at tectonic plate boundaries. Tsunamis can be caused by underwater landslides or volcanic eruptions. In the past, tsunamis were caused from the impact of large meteorite plunging the ocean. most tsunamis occur in about 80 percent in the Pacific Ocean. The Part of the Pacific where most tsunamis occur is called the " Ring of Fire." The Ring of Fire is where most volcanoes and earthquakes are common. The Tsunamis can race out of sea at 500 mph just as fast as a jet plane. The wave of a tsunami is long in length as long at 60 miles long and an hour apart making the waves not lose energy. When entering shallow water the waves become smaller they gain energy and grows in height.
